“As much or as little as I'd like! I am a yogi, a striving anti-racist, a transplant from southern California, a Northsider, a former (and maybe once again) foster parent, a theater-goer, a walker, a friend, a sister, a pension actuary, and recently elected as Allegheny County Treasurer.”
How'd you first learn about 1Hood?
“I first learned about 1Hood Media when I saw Jasiri X speak/perform at an event at the Irene Kaufmann Settlement Auditorium.”
What inspired you to support our work with a donation?
“I see the persistent good work that 1Hood Media does to lift up, develop, and spotlight Black and Brown folks via arts and activism in our region.”
What would you like others to know about 1Hood?
“I learn something new every time I see their programming.”
“My experience has been largely with watching programming such as This Week in White Supremacy, What Black Pittsburgh Needs to Know, 1Hood Power Hour, and Sunday Night Sitdown. I appreciate this programming because it is created by and for Black & Brown folks and gets much-needed information to Pittsburgh communities.”
